Did you DF yourself on purpose?

lately i have been thinking about saying something apostate to my elder father in law.

he is an uber witness and actually believed that god interveined and saved him when he had a heart attack and kept him alive, until he told me that and i asked him why jehovah allowed jws in nazi concentration camps to suffer horribly and die but he loved an alcoholic more than them.. i havent been to a kh in 6 months or in service in years.

i grew a beard and basicallyhe avoids talking to me.

I haven't done anything official yet. I don't know if I ever will, or if I'll just go on living my life as I see fit and let the chips fall where they may.

When I was a kid, I used to skim all the watchtower and awake magazines the local dubs placed with my grandma looking for any reference to sex. No wonder I was so screwed up.

Did your spirituality improve after confessing to wrongdoing?

i was reading this thread, http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/members/private/220730/1/had-my-jc-today-oh-sugar, and morbidzbaby mentioned their husband confessed to uncleaness because he did not feel he was getting blessed by jehovah.

however, blessings did not increase after the confession.. it made me wonder about the whole idea of confessing so that you do not loose jehovah's blessing.

when i was in bethel i confessed about a couple of menial things.

Going to Apostate Church

The only time I went into a church was for a wedding right after I started studying. I was really really against going into another church after I got baptized. Now, I don't know if I could sit through a service in a church, but I have no problem going inside the Methodist church for Boy Scout meetings.

honestly, now that i am free from the WTBTS, I don't feel suicidal anymore. I'm no longer looking at every overpass and every passing semi truck and thinking about slamming my car into them. I actually feel like living, if that makes sense. Before, I had to distract myself with plans for something that I wanted to do "before I die" like a trip to Disneyworld or a cruise. That was my way of talking myself into staying alive - pitiful really. Now, I feel like someone who has beaten a usually fatal disease, and I have a whole lifetime of possibilities ahead of me.

once again, this was a real " jewel " of a study article by the wt society full of contradictions , controlling expressions , and manipulative wording in order to take away jehovah's witnesses free will and freedom of mind .. initially the wt society makes it appear that they are " concerned " about witnesses actually keeping the " peace " between themselves.

notice this quote from pg.

20, paragraph 7, " true friends keep personal matters confidential.

I think to properly preserve the spirit, you have to pressure can it for 45 minutes at 25 pounds. Be sure to sterilize the jars and lids first.

lets examine the some interesting bible verses.. 1. promotes incestuous relations.

if everyone is the product of adam and eve, then are we all the products of incest?.

To me, the whole issue with something written so long ago (whether it be 1000 years or 3000 years ago or whatever) is that the people writing it had no way of understanding things like bacteria, viruses, electricity, internal combustion engines, etc. So anything they wrote "under inspiration", if it were to be even remotely understandable to them and their decendants, would have to be written in very simplistic terms. Think about explaining to a 2 year old exactly why and when touching a stove is a bad idea. You just can't have that conversation one time and expect the child to "get it". They lack the experience and frame of reference for your explanation to make any sense. But you can say "Don't touch the stove" and expect the child to understand what that means and how to comply with your instruction. Of course, 2 year olds don't have the best memory for things you want them to remember, so you'll have to repeat yourself several times. It is entirely possible that we still aren't advanced enough to really understand the true nature of the universe and how we came to be here and what it all means.
